  1. The first one that comes to mind is flying through O’Hare on Thanksgiving. I was recently married and living in Florida, home for a visit. There were people everywhere, sitting on the floor even. I don’t remember if flights were grounded because of weather or if it was just the busiest day of the year at the busiest airport in the world.

The funny thing is I kept thinking I might bump into somebody I knew! Hardly.

I also remember some airport in Europe where there were guys walking around with some pretty scary guns. Don’t remember where we were but it was pretty obvious their security measures were different than ours.

    Body scans are for sissies.

    • Ah yes, the JOYS of O’Hare. And isn’t it funny how sometimes, in those crazy crowded places you DO run into people you know? I remember the time that I was the LAST person on board the plane all sweaty from running through LAX to catch the plane to see my brother in Chicago. They already had the door closed to the gangway and had to reopen it. I like the word gangway:) They “had to make a call” to see if I could still get on the plane. I’m like, really? really? I’m a sweaty mess for nothing? Anyway, I got a bit of the evil eye from the other passengers. I always wonder why, I mean shouldn’t they have been routing for me?? LOL!
