What’s the one wrench that got in the way of your latest plan?

Hmmm…good question. I guess (thinking writerly) I would have to say that too much blogging and twitter got in the way of me completing my WIP by the end of February as i had planned. Here it is April and I’m still hurting to find my creativity. I became addicted to blogging and the twitter world (there’s good stuff out there. It couldn’t be helped).
But now I’m going to try and find some balance. That’s my new plan anyhow.
Consider yourself stalked. You are officially placed in the BEST DARN BLOGS EVER! file. I’ll be back.

Heh-heh. Thanks for the compliment. I’m happy you’ll be back.
Thanks for sharing. I can definitely relate. It’s hard to strike a balance. But, if you are looking for a little something to spark your creativity, I hope these questions help. Hang in there. I know you can do it! I have the same problem! Grrrr.
What’s gotten in the way of my “best laid plans”? Well, we’ve just settled down in a place we love, our tree house, and we just got word that we will be “on location” in the Rose City [Portland, OR] for a year and a half. I know we can do this. We’ve been on the road for the past four years, but all of a sudden I’m weary. And there’s this dang query to write [YES, I'm on version 500] and there’s these edits to finish [like you said, damn twitter!] and, well, the thought of packing makes me want to hurl. But at the same time I’m really excited and can’t wait to see another part of the country. It’s been so much fun these four years, just a little dizzying!
Good luck with your writing. I am keeping a dream log, because our writer’s group is doing something with dreams. Maybe write down whatever dreams you have. Maybe they will inspire a story?
